You can close your HUD SONiC account at any time, without giving a reason. Closing it deactivates the account straight away and deletes it permanently after 30 days — and for those 30 days you can still change your mind. HUD SONiC is operated by Aeromuse, Inc.
Export your logbook first. Your flight records are your professional history, and after the 30-day window they cannot be recovered — not by you and not by us. You can export the full logbook at any time from Export & Print in your Profile, and the export is yours to keep independently of the account.
It is worth keeping a copy of your licences, ratings and certificate details elsewhere as well.
If your aim is to stop one particular use of your data rather than to leave, you may not need to close anything: analytics consent can be withdrawn, individual entries can be corrected or removed, and you can object to processing. See Your Rights in the Privacy Policy.
Open the Profile tab, go to Account, and tap Delete Account. The app shows you what will be deleted and asks you to confirm. It takes effect immediately; you do not need to contact us.
If you can no longer sign in, write to support@aero-muse.com from the email address registered to the account. We may need to verify that the account is yours before we act — we ask for the minimum needed to be sure, and use it for nothing else.
You may also submit the request to our GDPR Article 27 representative, Prighter, through their portal at app.prighter.com/portal/17408205363.
| Stage | When |
|---|---|
| Account deactivated — you are signed out and your data is no longer served | Immediately |
| You can still restore it by signing back in | For 30 days |
| Account and everything linked to it are permanently deleted | After 30 days — not restorable |
If you sign back in within those 30 days, the app asks which you want:
After 30 days there is nothing left to sign in to: the sign-in account itself is removed along with the data.
At the end of the 30 days, the following are removed permanently:
Separately: if you applied to an airline or accepted scouting, that airline holds its own copy of what you sent, as an independent controller. Closing your HUD SONiC account does not reach it. To have that copy removed, contact the airline directly — see Sharing with Airlines.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your place of residence or work. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
